Peak Keyhole Hikes
The king of Rocky Mountain National
Park is undoubtedly the majestic Long’s Peak. Though sheer
and often vertical on all sides, there is a way through the “Keyhole”
formation that allows an unroped hiker to make it to the top. However,
at 14,259’ above sea level, the 7.5 miles to the top can be
an undertaking and some visitors may feel more comfortable in the
company of an experienced guide. Hiring a guide will up the safety
of your party, your summit success and be a chance to hear about
the colorful human and natural history of the mountain.
